This week's camping trip organised by YMCA Dumfries was an incredible adventure! 🏕️✨
Youth Scotland attended and demonstrated the use of Kelly Kettles, which were perfect for making hot chocolate in the woods. This added a touch of warmth and sweetness to the outdoor experience. 🍫🔥
A big thank you to Youth Scotland for joining and sharing this fantastic skill. The young people had an unforgettable time learning, exploring, and enjoying nature.

Summer Programme Day 8 at Grantown YMCA: Go Karting Fun! ✅🥇🏎️
Day 8 of the Summer Programme at Grantown YMCA was a roaring success! The day was spent at the Go Kart track in Inverness, where everyone enjoyed the thrill of racing and some friendly competition. 🏎️🎉
A massive shout-out and thank you to Lindsay Jack for coming to the rescue when the minibus didn’t show up this morning. The day wouldn't have been possible without his help!

Day 9 of the YMCA Grantown on Spey Community Centre's summer programme was an amazing adventure at Landmark Forest Adventure Park. 🌲🎢
The day was filled with thrilling rides, nature trails, and lots of sunshine—no rain in sight! The children had an unforgettable time tackling aerial adventure courses, sliding down water coasters, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. 🌿🌊
A big thank you goes to everyone who made this day possible, including the incredible volunteers and staff who ensure every outing is a success.

YMCA Kirkcaldy's Second Sponsored Walk of the Summer: Honoring Bob Kilgour
Members of the Volunteer Development Group at YMCA Kirkcaldy recently completed their second sponsored walk of the summer, trekking from Kirkcaldy to Burntisland and back.
This walk was dedicated to raising funds and honoring the memory of Bob Kilgour. 🌟
Bob's walking stick, presented to him 20 years ago in recognition of his service to the YMCA, was there to see the group off, adding a heartfelt touch to the event. ❤️
Many thanks to all who took part in this meaningful walk, including our adorable four-legged friend and mascot, Bo. Your participation and support are greatly appreciated!

YMCA Renfrew: Nature Week with Juniors! 🌳🔥
Nature Week with the Juniors at YMCA Renfrew has been a blast! Te group explored Blythswood Forest, discovering a lovely glade in the heart of the woods. 🌲🌿 while also getting a trip to Saltcoats beach! 🏖️
😅 The day was filled with fun activities including free-play, "the floor is lava," nature detective sheets, hide and seek, hammock time, shelter building, and nature art.
The highlight of the day was gathering around the campfire for a delicious round of s'mores. Yum! 😋🔥

YMCA Edinburgh: Hairdressing Tips and First Aid Session
YMCA Edinburgh recently hosted a fantastic session featuring quick hairdressing tips followed by essential First Aid training with Stephanie and Aisha from the British Red Cross. ⛑️✨
This life-saving session was both informative and engaging. A big thank you to Stephanie and Aisha for joining and sharing their expertise. 🫶🏻
The women's group will now take a break until 28th August. Wishing all the women a relaxing and enjoyable rest of the summer! 😎🌞
YMCA Tollcross
YMCA Tollcross had an exciting and engaging day with the seniors, packed with activities to celebrate Olympic Week! 😃🏅
In the small hall, they had a blast with magnetic tiles, Lego, giant Jenga 🧱, and Olympic-themed colouring sheets ✍️.
The games hall was bustling with energy as the group participated in an Olympic-themed game of corners, with each corner representing a different country 🏴🇫🇷🇺🇸🇨🇳.
They also enjoyed games of wink murder and dodgeball/team dodgeball ⚽😁.
In the art room, creativity soared as they painted and created flags for the Olympics 🎨🖌️.
Snack time was a treat with sausage rolls, potato letters 🥔 and beans 🫘, fresh fruit salad 🍓🍉, Dairy Lee dunkers, yoghurts, and fresh fruit juice. 😋

First, the team took on an invigorating sand dune hill session, pushing their limits and then cooling off with a refreshing dip in the North Sea. 🏖️
Next up, the excitement continued with the first night of the Club Track Championships!

A big thank you to everyone who visited YMCA Larkhall at Tesco Lesmahagow on Saturday!
The youngs people had a fantastic time helping pack bags and sharing information about the club. Special thanks to the parents and coaches who volunteered their time to supervise and run the popular tombola stall.
Thanks to the community's generosity, over £500 was raised, which will be used to purchase new athletics equipment, helping to reduce #BarriersToSport!

The GrubHub Summer Sessions brought the sizzle with a fun "make your own pizza" party and a crash course in football by the dynamic duo, Lewis and Dylan.
CYC Let’s Go had a blast under the sun with a Cupar Scavenger Hunt Challenge, where they scoured the town for hidden treasures, with ducks stealing the show!
In the 16+ EASYP Programme, young explorers ventured to the Scottish Deer Centre and Fife Zoo on midweek and weekend escapades, mastering the art of independent travel in North East Fife.
The Well-being Ambassador Team huddled up for volunteer training and kicked off planning for the epic CYC Fundraiser during their Thursday meetup.
